Security Status determines how dangerous a system is.

0.4 – 0.1	Low Sec	Limited protection. PvP is common.
0.0	Null Sec	Player-controlled space.
-1.0	Wormhole Space	No local chat. No CONCORD. Extremely dangerous.

High Sec is safer—but never completely safe.

Always fly as though your ship can be destroyed.

3. Never Fly What You Can’t Afford to Lose

This is probably the most important rule in EVE.

Ships are ammunition.

Every ship will eventually explode.

If losing a ship would stop you playing, don’t undock it.
